Questions
What We Seek Studios · New Jersey, USA · working worldwide
01What does What We Seek Studios do?
What We Seek Studios is a New Jersey design and technology studio for brand identity, web design, marketing and AI systems. We work with founders and operators on identities, websites, apps, online stores and token launches, then build the automation that runs behind them. Brian Sica founded the studio, which grew out of Sica Design Co.
02Do you do web design for small businesses?
Yes. A lot of our web design work is for small businesses, from a family bagel shop to a nail studio and an Italian market. We design and build custom sites on Next.js, Astro or Shopify that load fast, show up in local search, and are easy for the owner to keep running.
03Do you offer graphic design and brand identity?
Yes. Graphic design and brand identity are where most of our projects start. That covers logos and wordmarks, full brand systems, naming and positioning, art direction, packaging and print. We then carry the same identity into the website, the marketing and the product, so every touchpoint looks like one brand.
04How can AI help a small business?
AI helps a small business most by taking repetitive work off the team. Common wins are drafting replies and content, summarizing orders or messages, pulling reports from several tools into one dashboard, and routing requests to the right person. We start with an audit of how the work happens today, then automate the slow parts.
05How do you integrate AI into a business?
We integrate AI by connecting it to the software you already use and keeping a person in charge of the result. In practice we build AI assistants, automations, internal tools and data pipelines that link systems like Shopify, Klaviyo and Meta. Agent output is treated as a draft, and a person approves it before anything ships.
06What is the difference between a custom AI system and an off-the-shelf AI tool?
An off-the-shelf AI tool does one general job, while a custom AI system is built around your data, your software and your process. Off-the-shelf tools are a fine place to start. A custom system makes sense when the work spans several apps, needs your own data, or needs an approval step before results go live.
07Do you offer marketing services?
Yes. We set up and run marketing for brands and online stores, including email and lifecycle flows in Klaviyo, paid social campaigns on Meta, pixel and analytics tracking, and search engine optimization with structured data. Marketing is planned alongside the brand and the website, so the message and the measurement stay consistent.
08Do you work with clients outside New Jersey?
Yes. The studio is based in New Jersey and works with clients across the United States and worldwide. Most projects run remotely over video calls, shared files and staging links, so the work moves the same way whether you are down the road in New Jersey or in another time zone.
09What is your design process and how long does a project take?
Every project follows the same path: a conversation, a written scope and proposal, design, build, launch, and support after launch. Timelines depend on scope. Smaller sites and identity projects move faster than full products, and the contact form lets you pick ASAP, 1 to 3 months, or 3+ months so we can plan around your date.
10How much does a website or branding project cost?
Projects typically start around $1K and scale with scope. A focused identity or a small marketing site sits at the lower end, while custom web apps, ecommerce builds and AI systems cost more. After a short conversation we send a written proposal that sets out the scope and the price before any work starts.
11Who owns the website, brand and code you create?
The client does. We set up domains, hosting, stores and data in accounts the client controls, so the brand, the site and the customer list stay with the business. The exact ownership and licensing terms are written into each proposal before work starts, so everyone knows where things stand.
12Do you provide support after launch?
Yes. We stay on after launch rather than handing over a file and leaving. Ongoing support can cover site updates, hosting and maintenance, new pages and features, marketing campaigns, and improving the AI systems and automations as the business changes. Support is scoped in the proposal or added later as the need comes up.
13How do I start a project with What We Seek Studios?
Send a short note about what you are building through the contact form on the home page or by email to hello@whatweseek.studio. Include what you need, a rough budget and your timeline. We reply within 48 hours, eastern time, and set up a first call to talk through the project.
